I've been so lucky this year that my allergies to stay at bay... until yesterday. I think the combination of the derby infield (post to come later) and spending yesterday afternoon picking out flowers at a local nursery just set me up for failure.
I'm pulling out the neti pot tonight...
That is 100% not me. I think that's about as good as anyone can look while neti-potting. Taylor thought it would be "hilarious" to film me on his iPhone once last spring... all you can hear is him laughing ridiculously and me cussing at him through drowning noises. Anyone else use a neti pot? What do you do to help relieve allergy symptoms? What are you allergic to?

Thanks for the feature! Eeek, I'm lucky not to suffer from allergies but hubby has it bad, can hardly breath on a good day, hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and son have terrible allergies (mostly plants, animals, and molds). We are seeing an allergist to help treat their symptoms. They suffer year-round, but spring is always the worst. Luckily, this year hasn't been as bad, thanks to our treatments. My husband does Allergy drops under his tongue every night and my son has allergy shots every Monday. Such a pain, but so worth it. Good luck with yours.
ReplyDeleteI use my neti pot (except it isn't strictly a pot, it's one of those squeazy things) whenever I get a cold or sinus infection that's plugging me up and won't go away - it makes a huge difference. Mr. Geek uses it too, but he always gripes about it, while I quite like how it feels.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I shot a video of us using a neti pot for the first time and it's quite funny, but I just haven't edited it yet...she actually stood on a stool and bent all the way down trying to get it in her forehead sinuses. Hilarious.
