"Sometimes you gotta quit thinking so much. If it feels right, it probably is. So just go with it." - SATC
I discovered the clearance section of Hobby Lobby today. Don't worry, I won't go into the crazy picture tour of my purchases. Let's just say my debit card is still smoking.
I want one of these:
It's a Silhouette SD and they're amazing. But until I get my sewing machine out of the box, I will not buy one. (That didn't stop me from entering into a dozen give aways for one on my favorite craft blogs). :)
I’m upset that Medium is ending their season early and that it will be gone forever; we really enjoyed the show over all these years and are sad to see it go. Any other Medium fans out there (or are we the only ones… hence early series finale)?
I have so many ideas that I want to turn into REAL TANGIBLE THINGS. Every time I walk into a room that needs to be organized, or look at my sewing machine (still in the box) or look at my scrapbooking supplies, I become OVERWHELMED. Where do I start?

I think the last thing you need to do is overwhelm yourself with crafts (on top of school and work). Maybe just focus on ONE thing right now (knitting, sewing, or scrapbooking) instead of trying to do it all at once. Remember, it's a hobby...it should be FUN, not overwhelming and menacing :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is that contraption?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the comment on my blog! It is always fun to find friends in the blogging world who can help you when your creativity lacks. You have some adorable ideas as well!! I am going to seriously consider the framed chalkboard - I have a mirror w/ white frame the same size as the one in the link you sent me. It is just sitting in the bedroom waiting to be used.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog post of yours (particularly the last paragraph), because this is exactly how I feel about crafting. Right now we are living in Utah but we won't be here for much longer - six months. My husband is applying to law schools and there is a good chance we will be moving to Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, or North Carolina. I want so badly to just decorate our current place to the hilt, but part of me says, "What's the point? Only 6 more months - tops!" I have no idea how to explain this frustration! Fortunately I have plenty of time to plan for the future. :]
Anyway, thanks for your comment and thanks for the cute blog! I look forward to stalking - er, reading about all your adventures at home.

I want one of those so badly too! But Like you I just took my sewing machine out of the box (it was a Christmas present) so I'm trying to enjoy one new tool at a time.
ReplyDeleteIm excited to have a new blog to read. I love all the pictures you post. I want to join ten buck Tuesday but my iPad won't let me link up so I'll have to wait till I get home this evening.
